New Delhi, Delhi 110001, India
I am an independent photojournalist based out of New Delhi and Hyderabad, India.
In the summer of 2008 I quit an IT job at which I worked for two years to pursue a career in photography. The next three years, I worked on commissioned projects documenting the lives and issues of High Risk populations in HIV/AIDS interventions in southern India. I had during this time also worked towards a Master’s degree in Journalism from Osmania University, Hyderabad.
This work resulted in several publications and more importantly, helped me greatly understand small-town and rural India. I continue to work from these regions, focusing on agrarian crisis, environment and issues of development and displacement.
I am also the founder and curator of Galli, an online publication featuring visual storytelling from India.
