Jonathan is an award-winning film director, cinematographer, and editor who specializes in translating complex issues into emotional narratives that have significant public impact. Four years after directing his first local broadcast commercial, he was recruited to serve as a digital filmmaker for Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign -- designing and leading the aesthetic for a team that amassed over 1 billion views online. He traveled extensively with Secretary Clinton, and was the cinematographer of dozens of national advertisements. His unique lighting diagrams were referenced for Secretary Clinton's interviews and ads throughout the campaign.
Jonathan was the Co-Director, Director of Photography, and Editor of the award-winning short film Edges (2016), which screened at over 20 film festivals including Telluride Mountainfilm, Banff, Sedona, and Academy Award-qualifying Heartland Film Festival. He was also a cinematographer on the Sundance Audience Award-winning feature documentary Chasing Coral (2017) and Sundance documentary Racing Extinction (2015), directed by Academy Award-winner Louie Psihoyos.
