I imagined an island out there which existence nobody knows about. It floats quietly in the sea, on it a single house inhabited by an old man. The old man stares vacantly at the familiar landscape from the window of his house. The only sound is the fire crackling from the fireplace contrasted by the pale light streaming through the window. He has gazed at this landscape undisturbed; a landscape unknown to anyone. The past floats by and only the present stares right back at him. He feels no sadness; only the vastness of loneliness.
Everyone has a special secret place in their mind.
I created this series as a letter from my imagined remote island.
