I am an editorial and commercial photographer and filmmaker based in New York City. I’ve been shooting portraits, places and documentaries around the US and internationally for 18 years.
My photos have been published widely in books, ads, newspapers, and many magazines-- some of which are still in print!
I started my own printed magazine of cycling photography, called 9W, after spending (arguably) too much time riding and racing bicycles.
My Film "Thursday Fields" will screen at the 2019 Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, among others. InterFilm Berlin, The Bicycle Film Festival, and the OffLine Film Festival have screened my films "Tuesday Night Special" and "Red Green Blue Black."
I have been awarded the Johnson & Johnson/ICP traveling fellowship, a PDN Annual prize in Photojournalism, and a PDN self-promotion award. I was included in “Carte Blanche”, the Magenta Foundation’s 2007 compendium of the best Canadian Photographers. I’ve shown work at Jen Bekman and at ICP in New York. I'm an alumnus of the Eddie Adams Workshop.
My photographs are in private and corporate collections, as well as the collections of The International Center of Photography and the National September 11 Memorial Museum.
I live in Manhattan with my wife and our two school-age boys.
