Isadora Romero 1987
Ecuadorian audiovisual photographer and filmmaker, her work focuses on identity, oral memory, resistance and the role played by women in the narration of unofficial history. She has exhibited individually and collectively in Ecuador, Argentina, Mexico, Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay, the United States, London and in cyberspace. She was invited to the Ecuadorian Artistic Residence in Antarctica 2019, is the winner of the Photojournalism for Peace Award in Ecuador 2017, Selected for the Emerging Art Brazil Award, finalist of the Inge Morath Award of the Magnum Foundation in 2017, Luz de norte Latin American Art Photography 2018 and Marilyn Stafford Award of Fotodocument. Her multimedia works have been selected and screened in America and Europe between 2015 and 2017. She has been a professor of photography in Institutes, Universities and workshops in Latin America for 8 years. She is also the co-author of the book Seven Point Eight winner of an honorable mention at the Poy Latam 2019. She is co-founder of the group of photographers "Ruda Colectiva," curator of the account #everydayecuador and part of Woman Photograph.
