Jack Dabaghian

Jack started his career as a professional photojournalist by accident on April 17, 1983, when the American embassy was blown in a terrorrist attack killing scores of people. He spent 23 years covering hot news, fashion and sports for Reuters around the world. His assignments included conflicts in the Middle East, the overthrow of Mobutu Sese Seko in Zaire in 1997, Ethnic cleansing in Rwanda in 1994, Unrest in Congo Brazzaville in 1997, Gaza and the West Bank in the 90’s, the Iran-Iraq war, The Gulf War I and II.
Jack’s work fronted thousands of newspapers and magazines around the world including Newsweek, Time Magazine, Paris Match, The Economist, the International Herald Tribune, The New York Times, to name only a few.
In 1994 Jack won prestigious awards including Picture of the Year (POY) from the Missouri school of Journalism for his work in Rwanda, Africa.
In 2005 he launched Reuters’ Middle East picture desk in Dubai, supervising 11 countries and more than 30 photographers in the Arab world.
In 2007 Jack went free-lance focusing on Commercial, Documentary, Lifestyle, Sports and Corporate photography.
His client portfolio includes the International Power Boating Association, General Motors, Emaar Properties, Professional Sports Group, M:Communications, Freud Communication, Atlantis Hotel, Meydan, Prisme International, Bitexco (Vietnam), Getty Images (UK), Falcon and Associates, The Kuwait Ministry of Information.
His work has been published in books, billboards and brochures .
