Jackie Neale
New York City, NY, United States
I am a multi-skilled creative, visual storyteller and photographer adept at conveying a sense of community with impact and energy. I lead, shoot, edit, and produce visual storytelling projects both small and large. I provide technical and creative expertise, and find pleasure contributing original and adaptive content to projects.
I am also a photographic artist currently exhibiting an alternative processes storytelling documentary on Immigration, Crossing Over, in the 2019 Venice Biennale. Crossing Over consists of large format, cameraless photographic cyanotype portraits, and audio interviews playing in exhibition but ultimately housed on #StoryCorps.org and archived with the US Library of Congress.
Recipient of Mural Arts Philadelphia Tacony Artist In Residence, MissionEDC STEAM Artist Expert Residency, TX, and Guapamacataro Arts & Ecology Residency, MX. I have exhibited internationally, and lectured about documentary photography projects, alternative media and photographic processes, and community based arts throughout the world. I have appeared on NPR/WNYC radio, is in the film "Time Zero: The Last Year of Polaroid," I'm a published author, an instructor at NYFA and Saint Joseph's University, and have successfully fundraised to self publish my (sold out) digital time capsule photography book, "#SubwaySeries.
I am available for commissions, collaborations, lectures, and artist opportunities. All opportunities are worth a jingle.
