Mission
“My duty is to document the present that needs to be saved. Following this philosophy, history becomes visual and can be reached to the eyes of the humanity. You are not unaware of a fact anymore, the message has transferred.”
Jason Katsenis is a Greek photographer based in Thessaloniki, Greece. He was born in 1992 in Ioannina, Greece.
Between 2010 and 2014 he studied History at Ionian University in Corfu Island, Greece. In 2015 he extended his Bachelor Degree in Boğaziçi University in Istanbul as an Erasmus student, there he joined his first photographic courses.
He intensified his efforts in photography as he graduated from London School of Photography while taking some courses in London and Edinburgh on fashion, portrait, landscape, reportage and documentary photography. During the summer of 2017, he participated in the a photojournalism workshop in Mani, Peloponnese, Greece by the renowned Greek photojournalist Maro Kouri.
In 2018, he studied «Creative Documentary and Photojournalism» at SPEOS Institute of Photography with Magnum Agency in Paris.
At moment he is based in Greece focusing on society projects.
