JEFFRY RUIGENDIJK Started his work as a freelance photographer and videographer in 2012 covering the Syrian conflict. He has since been covering conflicts and humanitarian issues in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. His recent work was reporting on the war in Iraq against the Islamic State group from the Iraqi-Kurdish perspective among others. With an eye for the individual he gives the viewer a unique look into the lives of the people affected by the conflicts he covers. His video has been showcased by Vogue, Fusion, Warchild, Bild, RTL, NOS, UNHCR and more. His photography has appeared in publications such as Al Jazeera, Newsweek, Vice, The Daily Mail, Die Welt, Bild, La Vanguardia, NRC, Elsevier, Vrij Nederland etc.
