Freelace photographer since 2013, Jelena Stajic, lives and works in Paris.
Born in 1981, of serbo-croatian origin, Jelena travels regularly on site and absorbs the Balkans in her personal work. She undulates between the US and Europe.
Led by artistic expression, she integrates EFFICOM in 2003 to study applied arts, where she is impregnated with living models. There followed 10 years in the fashion world.
Jelena has chosen to focus on her first passion, photography. After retraining, she graduated from the Centre Iris pour la Photographie in 2013.
From that moment, through the french magazine Vivre Paris and her personal wanderings, she photographs the capital in all its lights, night and day, capturing scenes of life in the city, her meetings , its places.
In recent issues of the quarterly, 9 pages of the "neighborhoods" are swept by her gaze in tandem with teammate and journalist Giacomo Leso; atmospheres recalling her trips around the world.
Also passionate about the catering trades, she relates stories inspired by her encounters with lovers of culinary universe.
In 2014 she tries herself with enthousiasm to a more commercial type of shots and housing developments in partnership with the real estate investment fund SOPPEC.
After a photo report on the thai boxing club La Belle Equipe, she agrees with the architect Chloe Kessler on new projects for Spray Architecture.
Since 2015, the freelance photographer is working with the international webzine Say hi to_ and draws portraits of designers based in Paris.
Jelena loves to familliarize with the targets of her shots, to capture them in their spaces naturally. Intimate portraits or street scenes, tags on the walls, atmospheres at dusk, she is inspired by everything.
