Jen Tse is a photo editor at Newsweek.
She received her bachelor's degree in Journalism from the Ryerson University School of Journalism in Toronto and received diplomas in Photojournalism and Multimedia Journalism from the Danish School of Media and Journalism in Aarhus. In 2011, she worked as a media director and photo editor for 500px. In 2013, she interned at Die Welt in Berlin. In 2014, she interned at NOOR Images in Amsterdam. In 2015, after completing her diploma project for the Danish School from Bangkok, she relocated to New York to work as a photo editing intern at TIME.
Her work has been featured in TIME Magazine, TIME LightBox, VICE, Die Welt, Welt Kompakt, Foto8, Copenhagen Post, Huffington Post, and other publications. In 2013, she was the recipient of a silver medal in the 68th College Photographer of the Year competition, Solo Journalist Multimedia division; and a European Newspaper Award for images published in Welt Kompakt. In 2014, she received an Award of Excellence from the Society for News Design. In 2015, she received an Award of Excellence in the 70th College Photographer of the Year competition, Documentary division.
