Her work as an independent photojournalist focuses on areas affected by sociopolitical tensions, such as the Greek crisis, Turkish Spring in Istanbul and the former coal mining area in Liege-Belgium. In recent years she focused on documenting the human rights violations of refugees and migrants in Europe. Her photographs were published by de Volkskrant, die Zeit, Human Rights Watch, Newsweek, De Standaard among others.

Children in the jungle Calais
This serie is shot at the dismantling of the illegal shantytown in Calais - the jungle - by the French authorities. While children with relatives in the UK can get asylum over there, there are still children, unaccompanied minors, with no place to go and no place to sleep.
