Joshua Morgan

Josh Morgan is a photographer and visual journalist based in Rapid City, S.D. He is a Chips Quinn scholar, a graduated of the New York Times Student Journalism Institute, a 2012 UNITY Student Projects participant and has interned at the Orange County Register, Victoria Advocate and the Tucson Weekly. In 2014, Josh joined the Rapid City Journal as a staff photographer before leaving in late 2016.
Since moving to South Dakota from the southwest, Morgan has become interested in photographing rural communities and has most recently been documenting the fight against the Dakota Access Pipeline near the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota.
Josh’s images have appeared in numerous publications and wire services throughout the country, including Reuters, Associated Press, Orange County Register and more. He is available for assignments in the west and around the United States.
