New York Times best selling writer, author or co-author of 20 books, John Bruning has served as a free lance photo journalist in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, while embedded with the military Stateside and in Afghanistan where he received the prestigious 2010 Thomas Jefferson Award for articles and photographs from his experience trapped behind Taliban lines in a downed helicopter, protected by a Polish infantry platoon. John lives in Oregon with his two children and a dog rescued from the Middle East.
Currently shooting with a Canon 1DX and a Sony A7RII for 4k video.
