Washington, DC, USA
This May I graduated with a BFA in Photojournalism from the Rochester Institute of Technology. I am currently interning at the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting in Washington, D.C..
I have worked with Rebuilding Together New York City and Greater Dallas, documenting home repairs, interviewing homeowners and posting on their social media sites. My interest in nonprofit organizations comes from my passion for community service. Working for a nonprofit allows me to combine my photojournalism and service skills.
I served as RIT’s National Press Photographer Association’s (NPPA) President. My role was to facilitate meetings, co-lead the planning of our Annual What We Do Photojournalism competition, and help build the photojournalism community within RIT. This year we received the honor of 2015 Outstanding Chapter.
My senior capstone project that I completed this year is about my family. I am documenting with video, audio and stills, my father and two younger brothers after the death of my brothers’ mother last year. My local paper did a small feature on my project.
