Juan Pinnel

Los Angeles and Santa Barbara based Photographer and Cinematographer. BA in Media Studies and trained Director of Photography at Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires and New York Film Academy in Manhattan. For over 12 years, Juan worked as Director of Photography and Cameraman for film, advertising and television in Buenos Aires and Latin America.
In 2010 his short film Tigre was screened at festivals and theaters in Buenos Aires, Lisbon, Rome, Paris, and Dublin. In 2011 Juan showed his personal photographic work in several venues in Argentina, closing the year with the exhibit Por Debajo del Sendero at Centro Cultural San Martín, a renowned cultural center in Buenos Aires.
From July 2012 to early 2015 Juan lived on retreat at Ratna Ling, a Tibetan Buddhist Center in California, where he helped sculpt a 20 foot Buddha statue, the largest in the US. Juan documented this process on stills and video.
In 2015 Juan moved to Southern California, where he works as an independent photographer and filmmaker, offering services to clients all over California, the U.S. and Latin America.
