Julia Lindemalm

Julia Lindemalm (born 1984) lives in Malmö and works as a freelance photographer.
In her work, she explores humans relationship with animals. She began visiting European zoos in 2011 and the result is a photographic reflection that is simultaneously personal and documentary. ”Zoo World” is an exhibition portraying our relationship with animals in captivity on an existential level. It has been shown several times in galleries in Sweden. Her first book, ”Katt People”, was released in December 2016. Besides her personal project she is frequently working for newspapers and magazines in Scandinavia.
