Julie Hascoët is a photographer and visual artist working in the fields of installation and self-publishing. She graduated from ENSP (Arles) in 2012 after studying Visual arts. Her work questions the notions of territory, architecture, entropy, industrialization of the landscape and communities resisting on the same landscape. Her work has been shown on La Gacilly Photo Festival, Sept Off, Tbilisi Book Days, Les Rencontres d’Arles (etc.) Her photobook "Twins" was published by Poursuite Editions, in March 2018. She took part of artist-residencies in : Galerie Le Carré d'Art (Chartres-de-Bretagne, 2017-2018), Matrijarsija (Belgrade, 2015), and Institut Français d'Amérique Latine (Mexico, 2012). She is a member of Hans Lucas photo studio since 2016. Besides her artistic practice, she is also the founder of ZINES OF THE ZONE, a traveling collection of self-published zines & books photo-related organizing events through Europe around the idea of DIY.
