Kaley Sweeney is Associate Director of Anastasia Photo, a gallery on New York City’s Lower East Side that specializes in documentary photography and photojournalism.
Kaley believes photography is a key medium to clearly convey critical issues of our time and open conversation for social change.
In addition to her work at the gallery, Kaley is Program Director for Witness Change, a non-profit that exists to end human rights violations for marginalized communities through highly visual storytelling. Her prior roles have included communications and marketing for international photography exhibitions and art fairs, and spearheading an international development non-profit for women in Uganda. She has hosted panel discussions on documentary photography across New York City and spoken at the United Nations on women’s rights. When not working or talking about her dog, Steve, she is obsessing over ways to leave a positive impact on the world.
