Karsten Moran is a New York City-based photographer. He is a regular contributor to the New York Times and was formerly the chief photographer and photo editor at the Riverdale Press, a Pulitzer Prize-winning weekly newspaper in the Bronx.
He is a member of the National Press and the New York Press Photographers Associations and a contributor with Aurora Photos and Tandem Stills + Motion.
His work has been recognized by Communication Arts, the New York Press Photographers Association, the National Press Photographers Association, the New York Press Association, the New York City Chapter of The Society of Professional Journalists, the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, the New York Community Media Alliance, Sportsshooter.com, and the Suburban Newspapers of America.
