Kiliii Yuyan

Kiliii Yuyan is an indigenous photographer (Nanai) whose work is dedicated to the human cultures and natural history of remote wilderness. He has worked alongside Iñupiaq whalers in the Arctic, Anangu aboriginal hunters in central Australia, Inari Sami reindeer-herders in Lapland. Kiliii is also a traditional kayak-builder. Through photography, his work tells the stories of the voiceless– people, wildlife, and the changing land. Kiliii is also known for award-winning work in commercial adventure imagery.
Kiliii’s work has been awarded by PDN, CommArts, Sony World Photo and many others; his international clients include National Geographic Online, The Nature Conservancy, Outside, Der Spiegel and National Geographic China. Kiliii spends the majority of his time above the Arctic Circle or on the ocean at the wild edges of our world.
