Kristine Madjare

Kristine Madjare (b. 1987) is a Latvian photographer, living and working in Riga.
Madjare completed her (BA) Photography at Tartu Art College in Estonia and spent a semester at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hannover, Germany. She works with documentary photography projects, focuses on introvert communities and complicated life stories.
Madjare has held several solo exhibitions, including Retreat at the Tetno Gallery during TIFF Festival in Wroclaw, Poland (2018) and Inland at the Latvian Museum of Photography (2016). In 2018, Retreat received the Seeking the Latest in Photography award at the Riga Photography Biennale.
In addition to pursuing her personal projects, Madjare works as a freelance photographer, mostly working with fashion photography, portraiture and editorial assignments. Her Springboys fashion story has been featured in the latest issue of Behind the Blinds #6 and a story for models.com together with The Bro Models.
