I’m a photojournalist and filmmaker who likes to tell a story no matter what medium I’m using. Photography was my hobby growing up, and now using it as a tool to tell a story is giving me a new perspective on how powerful photography can be.
I have developed strong camera skills and a solid eye, along with excellent abilities in post-production tools, including Photoshop, Lightroom and Photo Mechanic. I do all my post production myself. However I do believe in getting it right in the camera.
The same skills I learned in photography allowed me to cover the Egyptian revolution in 2011, and create feature-length documentaries Egypt: The Story Behind the Revolution and Stories from Tahrir that have earned me awards and recognition.
I have authored three books: Rebel, Tannoura and Cairo Islamic Architecture You can get in touch with me via social network.
