Kseniia Ivanova is a documentary photographer from Russia, based in Saint-Petersburg. Ksenia works with The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Der Spiegel, GEO France etc. For the last 3 years, she has been working regularly with the online charity Russian magazine Takie Dela. She received Young photographers of Russia Award, College Photographer of the Year (Award of Excellence), Stenin Contest 2019 Award (Jury Honorable Mention winner) among others.
Kseniia’s photo stories were made in Northern Europe, Siberia, Balcans and USA. In the photography her main interest is focused on the problem of cultural identity and social problems. She prefers to delve deeply into topics, to build trusting relationships with characters and to work on long-term projects. For the past two year she worked on photo story about a leading oncology surgeon in Russia, who was diagnosed stage 3 stomach cancer.
