Ksenia Ivanova is a documentary photographer from Russia, based in Saint-Petersburg. In the photography her main interest is focused on social problems and trauma. For the two years she worked on photo story about a leading oncology surgeon in Russia, who was diagnosed stage 3 stomach cancer and died last year. In her last project, she focuses on the topic of post-war trauma in the unrecognized state of Abkhazia.
Ksenia works with The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, GEO France, Der Spiegel etc. For the last years, she has been working with the charity Russian magazine Takie Dela and photographed stories about social problems in the country.
