Lucas Landau
Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Self-taught 28-year-old photographer born and based in Rio de Janeiro.
I began to take pictures at 12 years old and I became a freelancer with 16, working for a street fashion blog.
I worked as fashion photographer for 10 years. But after the 2013 protests in Brazil, I became stringer for Reuters agency in Rio.
In 2016 I've decided to focus my work on photojournalism and documentary photography. After a year studying and learning this new market, I felt ready to start working with what is in my veins.
So since September 2017 I'm working full time as a visual storyteller (and sometimes as a writer too), documenting social and environmental issues.
