Laura Aggio caldon

Laura Aggio Caldon (b.1983) is a freelance Italian photographer based in Rome.
Her primarily interested in under reported social and environmental issues, and she feels the need to communicate these stories through the images.
She mostly works on long term projects focused on human rights issues and humanitarian and geopolitical subjects.
Before completing her studies at the Communication Psychology Faculty, she moved to photojournalism and documentary photography.
In 2013, she obtained a Master in Photojournalism from the Higher Institute of Photography and Integrated Communications (ISFCI) in Rome.
Her work about the early marriage in the Syrian refugee camps has been shortlisted at Sony World Photography Award (2016) and it has been exposed at the Somerset House, London.
Currently her work on child labour among Syrian refugees has been exposed at the Festival of Ethic Photography, Lodi (Mi).
Laura’ s work has appeared in numerous publications, including CNN, Al-Jazeera, Spiegel online, Vanity Fair, Internazionale, Daily Mail, Huffington Post, Vice and others.
