Freelancer journalist and documentarist. Sicilian, she lives between Italy and Sanaa (Yemen). She is an independent contributor of the american-lebanese video agency "Transterramedia", RSI Switzerland and of the arabic-english website "al-Araby". She works for several italian and international printed media and broadcasters and she has produced a variety of reportages from zones of conflict around the world, covering first-hand wars in Afghanistan, Jugoslavia and Lebanon, revolutions in Egypt and Libya, the presidential election in Senegal and Guinea Conakry, the Syrian conflict through the tragedy of syrian refugees, and social issues in Tunisia, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Qatar, Yemen. She won important italian awards like 'Giancarlo Siani' 'Ilaria Alpi", "Journalist for the Mediterranean sea", "Maria Grazia Cutuli Award", "Colomba d'oro pe per la pace 2015". She speaks italian, english, arabic standard and farsi.
