In 2016 she shoot her first documentary work for IOM/ The UN Migration Agency photostory project “Migrants: An Invisible Force in Central Asia”.
In October 2017 Leila attended documentary photography training by NOOR agency. There she received feedback on her own documentary project that she started 5 months earlier. The project's title was #faceofdepresion where through photographs she described her experience of depression. Preview: https://www.noorimages.com/lyailya-turlybekova.
2017 NOOR training was an important moment in her career because during that time she realized that she wants to pursue professionally.
In 2018 Leila resigned from her office job and became a freelance photographer.
The same year she registered as an individual entrepreneur and since then she provides photography services.
Now she is a commercial photographer involved with shooting event reportage, portrait photography, still life photography, and product photography.
Leila is a keen photographer that is still looking closely into photography, engaging herself with new depths of this simple yet very complex form of art.
