Léna Maria
Hans Lucas
Marseille, France
Léna Maria grew up in Occitania (south west of France), where mountains throw themselves into the sea. She built herself through various educations: from humanitarian field to anthropology, from political sciences to geography.
She improved her practice in photography, as a self-taught art, in Morocco in 2012. From digital camera to Polaroid through cellphone photography, her approach is like an organic exploration of the world that surrounds her.
Nowadays, she works in Marseille, where she keeps researching, in immersion into the geology of visible and invisible worlds.
Her work has been exhibited in London, in Morocco and recently in France, next to Picasso etchings’, Man Ray photographs’ and Paul Eluard poems’.
