Libby Hogan is a multimedia journalist based in Myanmar.
She works part-time with the largest independent broadcaster in Myanmar, Democratic Voice of Burma(DVB), in Yangon whose current work focuses on development in the country. She is passionate about raising the voices of women, climate change and those who were ignored or silenced under the previous military regime. Her work confronts the abuses of ethnic minorities and marginalised populations as they rebuild their identity after years of isolation and neglect. She is currently focusing on women’s stories in Kachin and Chin State, as they struggle to gain equal rights in the country under broken healthcare and education systems. Her articles and multimedia projects have been published on platforms such as Democratic Voice of Burma, ABC, News Deeply, Zinc and The Diplomat. In 2017 she was also awarded as one of National Geographic Young Explorers for 2017.
