Originally from a dairy farm in New Zealand I tend to gravitate towards stories where there is a connection to the land. However, I am equally at home with photographing fabulous food, bustling kitchens, environmental portraits and the lyrical moments of the everyday.
I spent two years in the USA where I took photography classes after seven years as a corporate lawyer. In the States I interned at VII in New York and attended the Eddie Adams Workshop as well as Review Santa Fe.
On returning to New Zealand in 2013 I've been doing a mix of editorial and commercial work as well as 14 cookbooks.
Clients include Monocle Magazine, The New York Times, New Zealand Geographic, The Washington Post, Penguin, Weldon Owen, Cuisine Magazine and Tourism New Zealand.
