Louisa Marie Summer relocated to Berlin, Germany after living the last years in New York. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, National Geographic, Rolling Stone, Vogue Business, Leica Fotografie International, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Greenpeace Magazine, American and Latin American Photography, 6Mois, Dummy, and Eyemazing Magazine, among others.
In 2012, her book “Jennifer’s Family” was published by Schilt Publishing, Amsterdam, NL. Awards include Latin American Photography, Lens Culture International Exposure, Emerging Talent by Reportage by Getty Images, European Prize of Architectural Photography, Mary Clerc and T.C. Colley Scholarship. She was nominee for Prix Pictet, Joop Swart Masterclass, and PDN 30 and participated at The Russian Moment – 20 World’s Leading Photographers Expedition in Russia, Month of Photography and 4th Chinese-European Cultural Dialogue in Luxembourg, Eddie Adams Workshop XXIII, and Missouri Photo Workshop.
