Photography allows me to establish a link with the world around me, and to seek to communicate on themes close to my concerns.
First influenced by photojournalism, and brought to live young in Brazil, my first photographic immersions move towards highlighting actors of traditional Brazilian popular culture. I wish today to move towards a more documentary and personal language. My most recent project is about my hometown, trying to create an interactive map to provide a civil perspective of the city of Saint Etienne :
« If anything could be described as a city, then this definition runs the risk of not meaning anything at all. A city is made up by people, within the possibilities it offers and yet, it has a distinctive identity, resulting in a lot more than a mere agglomeration of buildings »
Deyan SUDJIC « The Language of Cities»
Although I mainly use photography, I have recently been working with media such as cartography, audio, video or the archive. My work is inspired by authors with varied profiles such as Stéphane Hessel, Miguel Rio Branco, Anders Petersen, Mathieu Asselin, or Borja Larondo.
