Lucio Cavicchioni starts his activity in the second half of the ‘70s, in Milan.
Specialized in documentary photography on current issues, with a particular interest in politics, work and workers' struggles.
Over the past years, he covered events related to immigration, paying a special attention to the Islamic presence in Italy, the role of women, education, coexistence between different cultures.
Nicaragua, Senegal, Mali, Zimbabwe, Bolivia are some of the countries where he followed the work of volunteers and the social context in which they operate, on behalf of several NGOs.
From this extensive photographic documentation were made books and exhibitions.
His photos have been published in most national and international newspapers and magazines.
