Luiz C Ribeiro
New York, NY, United States
I'm a full-time editorial and corporate photographer who lives in the New York City area, but work all over the place.
With twenty plus years of experience, I'm often described as a generalist because of my ability to execute a wide range of assignment work.
In 2012, after twenty years, I left the New York Post to pursue a freelance career and further my photographic knowledge attending workshops and seminars. Since 2014, I have completed four photographic books for a Brazilian Publisher and the City of Rio de Janeiro for the Olympic Games.
My photos have appeared in nearly every major national and international media including, The Associated Press, USA Today, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Rolling Stone, US News & World Report, Time Magazine, Newsweek, National Geographic Travel Guide and books.
I'm fluent in Portuguese and Spanish with a keen eye for storytelling and a full fledge member of the NPPA - National Press Photographer Association, WHNPA - The White House News Photographers Association, NYPPA - The New York Press Photographers Association, ASMP - American Society of Media Photographers, ARFOC – Associação de Reporters Fotograficos – Brazil, FENAJ – Federação Nacional dos Jornalistas – Brazil.
