Maggie Shannon is a documentary and portrait photographer based in Los Angeles by way of Martha's Vineyard. She holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts where she studied photography, video and related media. Her most recent work focuses on exploring small town communities and their unique histories within the United States. Maggie's work has appeared in the New Yorker, Wired, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and Topic among others. She was named one of Magnum’s 30 under 30 in 2014 and PDN’s 30 for 2018.
