The yerba is a symbol of Argentina; it’s the basic staple used
for the “mate”, the national drink. But that symbol is built on a foundation of suffering and hardship. Yerba mate workers, in Northern Argentina in Misiones, live in conditions of poverty and exploitation. This story features families from Cuatro Bocas, a small township of Montecarlo’s city that counts 84 houses and 92 families.
