I'm a New Delhi based Photographer with a background in Communication Design. I started photographing full time after completing the one-year program in photojournalism and documentary photography from the International Center of Photography in 2008.
My work has been published in The New York Times, The Sunday Guardian (India), BBC News (India) amongst others. My clients include The Aga Khan Foundation, Sesame Workshop Trust, Vodafone Foundation, UNHATE Foundation etc.
I was awarded the prestigious National Media Fellowship for the year 2012-2013 for my work on girl-child education in India.

Shabnam, 13, dropped out of school when she was married a year ago. She will continue to live in her parents’ home, spending her days doing household chores, until she unites with her husband at the age of 15. Though she would like to continue studying, she is resigned to the fate of not having the right to decide.
