Marella was born in London, UK and brought up in Paris, France.
She read Philosophy at Heythrop College, UCL, and received an MFA (Hons) in Creative Writing from Kingston University and is currently studying for an MA in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism at LCC, UK.
She is bilingual in French/English and has a good knowledge of Spanish and Italian.
Marella is an editorial contributor to The Guardian, and as a Freelance member of the NUJ, is looking to expand her work in photojournalism and would welcome enquiries about NGO work or assignments.
She is available to travel worldwide.
