Maria Camila Salamanca´s interest in art, communication and technology come together in the photograph, where she finds the most appropriate for her personal expression, hence she decided to study at the Politécnico Grancolombiano and to make a specialization in the photographic medium.
Her work stands interest for the cosmetic and plastic exploration, through new compositions that show a personal style, which is strongly influenced by artists such as Maurits Cornelis Escher, David Hockney, Richard Avedon, André Kertész, Annie Leibovitzamong among others, the language of her work draws on the literature of great writers such as Herman Hesse, Jean Paul Sartre, RayBradbury and John Ronald Reuel Tolkien giving such images an imaginative and questioning style.
