Marina Rosso
Udine, UD, Italia
I'm a fine art photographer. After getting a bachelor’s degree in Architecture in Udine, I moved to Berlin to attend the photo school Ostkreuzschule fuer Fotografie und Gestaltung, followed by a 2-year residency at Fabrica (the Benetton’s communication research center). During this period I collaborated as image/story researcher for COLORS Magazine and as photo editor for several editorial projects; I worked as well on the photo project 'The Beautiful Gene' which focuses on the possible effects of artificial insemination on human kind. This last work has been reviewed worldwide and exhibited at Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia in Milan, at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin, FotoLeggendo and Officine Fotografiche in Rome, Lodz Fotofestiwal in Lodz and Photoville in New York.
I have been published in different newspapers and magazines such as The Sunday Times Magazine, IL sole 24 ore, Internazionale, Amica, Repubblica, Corriere, Corriere Innovazione, Amica and NY Times Lensblog among others.
With Carlo Zoratti I recently co-founded Alpis, a production company that focuses on multimedia storytelling and social projects. Through the company I work as well as producer and fixer.
