Toronto, ON, Canada
I am a freelance photojournalist and filmmaker currently based in Toronto, Canada
I'm interested in exploring subjects that deal with how we care for one another in the communities we build – what we gain from this and what happens when it is lost. Born to parents who were immigrants to Canada, community has played a strong role in my life.
I am a graduate of the journalism program at Toronto Metropolitan University and the photojournalism program at Loyalist College. My work has appeared in publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CBC, NBC, The Globe and Mail, Maclean's, The Canadian Press, the Toronto Star, CTV, and Maisonneuve.
I have received three Canadian National Magazine Award winner and my work has also been recognized by the Canadian Journalism Foundation, Hot Docs, the Magenta Foundation, AI-AP, News Photographers Association of Canada, National Press Photographers Association and I was a participant in the Eddie Adams Workshop in Jeffersonville, New York.
