To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour
-William Blake
When I first went off to the University of Georgia, I wanted to study photography in the art school. After facing pushback from my parents, I turned to the Grady School of Journalism and Mass Communication where I found an opportunity within the photojournalism department and a true passion for the craft.
I worked various jobs non-stop throughout my time in university, ranging from chief photographer at The Red & Black newspaper, photography counselor at Camp Androscoggin in Maine, fashion photographer for umano clothing and countless other photo gigs for music festivals, clothing stores, restaurants and people.
While my interests and styles are constantly evolving, the idea of "Seeing the World in a Grain of Sand" remains constant.
My personal philosophy involves living and learning through new experiences. I firmly believe we need to actively search for people and their stories to develop a greater understanding of the world in which we abide.
I'm currently in Athens, Georgia exploring the grain of sand that is social media manager and photography manager for umano clothing -- a fashion brand on a mission to unleash creativity through partnering with global elementary schools and art programs.
I enjoy Seinfeld references and dabbling in things like skateboarding and hiking. Let's be friends.
