Michael Bainbridge
Melbourne VIC, Australia
Originally from Australia, currently working throughout south east asia, I have worked within the photography/video field for over 10 years. I have shot portraits of former Prime Minister of Australia John Howard, and current and former Prime Ministers of the Solomon Islands. I have documented projects within the Solomon Islands, Myanmar and Laos. In addition I have also worked on a number of short documentaries and co-directed a 1 hour length documentary about the civil war in the Solomon Islands, it’s main warlord Harold Keke and the subsequent international intervention. With both photography and video I investigate the stories of everyday people and places, looking to capture unique and honest stories.
Some of the clients I have worked for include: Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI), Australian Volunteers International (AVI), vmWare Foundation, World Bank, Orphan Impact, GIZ, Anglicord Overseas Aid, Humanitarian Media Agency (HUMA), Aid Worthy, Hanover.
