Michael is an American Photographer/Cinematographer currently based in Lima, Peru. Michael's passion for photography lies in long-term documentary projects. Michael’s work from Ecuador was recognized in the 2012 Pictures of the Year as a Global Vision Finalist. In 2011 he was named Photographer of the Year by the San Francisco Bay Area Press Photographers Association. As a student he was granted the Marty Forscher Fellowship for Humanistic Photography from the Parson’s School for Design in NYC and the PDN Photo Annual in 2009. In 2008 and 2009, Michael’s portfolio was awarded College Photographer Of The Year from The White House News Photographers Association.
