A pioneering Tunisian photojournalist, renowned for revolutionizing photojournalism and reporting in post-revolution Tunisia, with a focus on terrorism and irregular migration across the Mediterranean. As a news producer, he has covered international affairs, providing in-depth coverage in regions such as Western Europe, the United States, Africa, and the Middle East. Beyond his work in the field, he has also served as a university lecturer and trainer in photojournalism.
His work includes capturing the historic peaceful transfer of power in Tunisia in 2020, with one of his iconic photos being immortalized as a postage stamp by the Tunisian Post to honor farmer women. He is also the author of the photobook “Odyssey of Tides: The Mediterranean’s Soft Genocide.”
In addition to his journalism, he collaborates with British and American research centers, conducting sociological research on migrant affairs. His research has been utilized by international NGOs and governments worldwide, making a significant impact on policy and humanitarian efforts.
