Temitope Ogungbamila
Lagos, Nigeria
I am a Nigerian filmmaker and photographer whose work is rooted in social documentary and visual storytelling. Through film and photography, I explore themes of displacement, forced eviction, migration, SGBV, and the lived realities of women and communities in informal settlements.
My practice is driven by a commitment to amplifying overlooked voices and documenting stories that reflect both resilience and struggle. I believe in the power of images not only as artistic expressions but also as tools for advocacy, accountability, and social change.
Currently, my projects engage with urgent environmental and human rights issues, including the ocean surge crisis affecting Ayetoro community in Ondo State, Nigeria. Whether working on long-form documentaries or photographic series, I aim to create work that is emotionally honest, socially relevant, and deeply connected to place and people.
I am passionate about collaborating with individuals and organizations committed to meaningful storytelling, cultural preservation, and justice-centered narratives.
