Brooklyn-based documentary filmmaker and photographer. Recent endeavors include a short documentary, titled "Anyone Like Me" about finding yourself on a Deaf football team. Mimi frequently works within the NYC photo and film industries as an independent contractor as an AC, Gaffer, Photographer, DP, Editor and PA. Mimi attended the 2019 Mountain Workshops through Western Kentucky University in Cynthiana, Ky. In 2020 she will be working on a short documentary about a medical relief mission to Ghana and a feature documentary about an innovative summer stock theatre in New Hampshire.
Most recently, the film and accompanying photos have been seen at the Smithsonian Institution's Mother Tongue Film Festival, at the DocuWest Documentary Film Festival in Denver, CO, at the Over-the-Rhine Film Festival in Cincinnati, OH, at the World Bank's International Finance Corporation for their annual Diversity & Inclusion week, at the DC Shorts Film Festival, the Rocky Mountain Women's Film Festival, the Emerge Film Festival, the Montclair Film Festival and at the Northern Virginia ReelAbilities Film Festival. In late 2019 the film won best short documentary at the Westfield International Film Festival.
