I have more then twenty years of experience covering domestic and international affairs from México, the U.S. and most recently, East Africa.
I began working as a photographer when there was still such a thing as film. I shot everything from social life to papal visits to the Zapatista movement. Started my own photography business. Came to the U.S. as the first photographer correspondent for the Mexican newspapers Reforma and El Norte and covered everything from political summits to presidential inaugurations, the White House, Congress, the U. N., Sept.11, poetry readings, little league finals and bingo nights. Lately, I have been traveling North East Africa and Middle East covering stories in Sudan, Congo, Chad, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Somalia, Egypt and Gaza.
I have been published in The Washington Post, National Public Radio, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, Der Spiegel, El Pais, Gara, Reforma, Los Angeles Times, Dallas Morning News,The Star Ledger, El Clarín, O Globo, Paris Match, Newsweek, The Boston Globe, The Kansas City Star, The Irish Times, and others.
