Meg Oliphant is a freelance photo and video journalist in the Los Angeles area, currently available for assignments.
Recent clients include Getty Images, NASCAR, LAFC, The Golfer's Journal, the St. Louis Cardinals, Education Week, and the Opus Prize Foundation, among others.
After graduating from the photojournalism program at Rochester Institute of Technology in 2017, Meg traveled throughout the country documenting everything from whitewater rafting in Maine, to wildfires and rodeos in Montana, to Olympians in NYC. She interned as both a photographer and videographer at the Grand Forks Herald in North Dakota, the Billings Gazette in Montana, Eagle Hill School in Massachusetts, and as a video fellow for the Players' Tribune in NYC. She was selected to attend the Eddie Adams Workshop in 2017.
Meg's career goal is to continue advocating for and contributing to equal women's sports coverage. Her interest in women's sports stems from a long history in athletics. She ran track and field competitively for seven years and saw firsthand how much less seriously women are taken in athletics, from intensity of training to game attendance and media interest. For her senior capstone project, she created a short documentary about a startup all-women's cycling team in Rochester, N.Y. Aside from running, Meg is an avid dog-lover, coffee drinker, runner, snowboarder, hiker, and volleyball player.
